SK Comes to London
“London has always been a city that inspires us”
- Dwyer Kilcollin
6 Brook Street, First Floor
Mayfair, London W1S 1BB, UK
Nestled above Issey Miyake and Dries Van Noten in the heart of Mayfair, Spinelli Kilcollin’s London store occupies a private Georgian townhouse. The intimate space—just under 600 square feet—serves the diverse clientele the brand attracts. A seating area offers private appointments and custom design, while sculptural cases invite casual visitors to browse and explore.
Each Spinelli Kilcollin store extends the brand’s creative universe. “They’re an opportunity to create an environment that captures the feeling and emotion of the brand. We have yet to make a template we copy—each store is a unique expression,” says Dwyer Kilcollin. “For the London store, we experimented with cast aluminum and angular mirrors to bring in both the gravity of our designs and reflective surfaces.” Angled mirrors interact with the building’s original molding and skirting, while contemporary architectural elements add functionality and expression to the townhouse.
“London has always been a city that inspires us,” says Dwyer Kilcollin. “Its culture, architecture, and people influence our work deeply. Designing this space has allowed us to merge the contemporary identity of the brand with the rich, historical character of the building.”
Yves Spinelli adds: “Since we first launched at Dover Street Market in 2014, London has been a vital part of our journey. Opening a store here allows us to engage with our loyal clients more personally, and to offer new experiences—from bespoke design consultations to private events—while connecting our Los Angeles and New York roots to an international audience.”
Spinelli Kilcollin’s London flagship offers visitors an intimate view of the brand’s full collection, including the opportunity to create one-of-a-kind pieces. The store functions as a creative hub, reflecting the founders’ vision and the brand’s ongoing commitment to connection and authentic design. “The magic of our stores is seeing how clients interact with the jewelry,” says Yves. “It’s a moment of connection, understanding, and discovery. From our first garage studio to three stores across the world in one year, it’s remarkable to see the brand grow while staying true to our values.”
November will mark the opening of Spinelli Kilcollin at 6 Brook Street, and shoppers are encouraged to experience the world of SK in person. Opening programming will follow this winter.
Q: Where is the store located, and what does this neighborhood represent for Spinelli Kilcollin?
A: (Yves) We are in Mayfair, in a private space above Issey Miyake and Dries Van Noten, surrounded by our favorite luxury designers in one of London’s busiest areas.
Q: Why did you choose this location, and why London now? How did the idea for a London store first come about?
A: (Yves) Since launching at Dover Street Market in 2014, we've been featured in luxury boutiques across London and developed a loyal following. We expanded to Harrods, Liberty, and Browns, and have hosted private bespoke events since 2020. After opening stores in NYC and LA, London became a clear choice for our third location. Plus, it’s a bonus that Dwyer and I can spend more time here.
Q: What does London mean to you personally and creatively?
A: (Dwyer) We love London so much. Its proximity to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia makes it an international city on a level we don’t have in the US. The people and the culture are sources of personal and creative inspiration for both of us. On top of that, London is such a beautiful city, built in a time when buildings were crafted with intricate detail. All of this, and the shopping.
Q: How does this space differ from your LA and NY stores? How do you see the London store as an extension of your creative universe?
A: (Dwyer) Each store is an opportunity to showcase our brand identity in physical space. To create an environment that captures the feeling and emotion of the brand. I personally lead the design of each store. It’s a crucial and personal aspect of brand building for me. London offers a unique chance to integrate this Georgian townhouse with our very contemporary brand identity. There’s a lightness to being on the first floor, which contrasts with our usual grounded materials like dense aluminum and stone. The store features angular mirrors, with areas to explore and browse, as well as relax on a couch to view the pieces.
Q: How would you describe the design of the interior, and what’s your favorite detail?
A: (Dwyer) My favorite detail... okay, I have several. The new sculptural cases are my top favorite element. We’re experimenting with a new process for casting aluminum. And a small detail I’m excited about is how the angled mirrors dance around the molding and skirting.
Q: What elements of the space best reflect Spinelli Kilcollin’s identity — craftsmanship, materials, or form?
A: (Dwyer) The cases, the use of aluminum. Please see above.
Q: What kind of events or experiences do you imagine hosting there?
A: (Yves) We’re excited to share our creative vision with clients and offer a personalized brand experience. Clients can visit to design custom pieces, collaborate directly with our team, and explore more of our collection beyond linked rings. We’re also looking forward to hosting private events for our clients.
Q: How do you want visitors to feel when they enter the store?
A: (Dwyer) We want visitors to feel a spark of curiosity and magic when they first enter the space. Almost like childhood wonder. Moving through the space, this sense of wonder might transfer to jewelry, highlighted in subtly illuminated cases.
Q: What are you most excited about with this opening?
A: (Yves) We love getting to meet our clients and learn more about them and how they connect with our brand. I’m intrigued by discovering the similarities and differences our clients have with our jewelry across various regions and cities. I’m also thrilled that we’re able to visit London more frequently!
Q: How does it feel to see Spinelli Kilcollin expand globally from where it began?
A: (Yves) Dwyer and I launched our brand in our garage fifteen years ago. We grew gradually through word of mouth, attracting customers one by one, as strangers approached us because they noticed our linked rings and wanted to buy them. We realized our designs appealed to a diverse audience, and we dreamed of building a global brand. We’re still deeply involved in planning for the future, and it’s important to pause and appreciate how far we've come and the growth we’ve achieved.
Q: Reflecting on opening three stores within a year, what have been your biggest takeaways?
A: (Dwyer) Our biggest takeaway is that our Retail Environments Manager, Tom, is incredible, having grown from managing zero stores per year to three, juggling three cities and a lot of new international logistics. Our entire team is exceptional. A lot goes into this. One thing that has surprised me is the revival and reinterpretation of my work as an artist. I thought I had officially stopped creating art to focus full-time on the brand. But these stores have me thinking sculpturally and blending philosophies, materials, and processes from my studio work.
